1. Fried Apples
Ingredients
- 4 apples, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Melt butter.
- Add apples and cook 5 minutes.
- Stir in sugar and cinnamon.
- Cook until soft and syrupy.
2. Biscuits & Sausage Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 3 tbsp flour
- 2½ cups milk
- Salt & pepper
Instructions
- Brown sausage.
- Stir in flour.
- Slowly add milk, stirring.
- Simmer until thick.
- Serve over split biscuits.
3. Grits with Butter
Ingredients
- 1 cup stone-ground grits
- 4 cups water
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Bring water and salt to boil.
- Slowly whisk in grits.
- Simmer 20–30 minutes, stirring often.
- Stir in butter before serving.
